Headteachers from across the BSF network came together for their annual meeting at BSKL.

The annual BSF Headteacher meeting was a five-day event which took place from Sunday 29th October until Thursday 2nd November. Representatives from all 10 schools travelled to The British International School of Kuala Lumpur (BSKL) to discuss plans for the Foundation in the coming year and beyond. The main focus was on two key items:
1) Pupil experience through significant BSF events
The Headteachers discussed and agreed a number of events that will feature on the BSF calendar this year including the Primary Art Competitions, BSF Music Festival, Secondary Social Enterprise Competition and regional opportunities to compete in Sports.
2) Continued Professional Development of Heads
All Heads enjoyed comprehensive inspection training offered by ISI (The Independent Schools Inspectorate), which will support them to become inspectors. By successfully completing this rigorous two-day course with extended assessment tasks, all BSF Heads will hopefully take an active role in school inspections next year. This is seen as a crucial contributing factor in achieving continued excellence in all BSF schools.
In addition, Headteachers received training in preparation for critical incidents and advanced safeguarding procedures ensuring that all BSF schools adhere to the very highest standards of Health, Safety and Welfare - BSF's most important priority.
The meeting was also an opportunity to welcome a new senior appointment to the BSF network, the new Head of School at The British College of Brazil (BCB), Mr Duncan Rose.
BSF Headteachers will next meet at The COBIS conference in May 2018.
