Board of Governors

The Board of Governors at the British Schools Foundation (BSF) meet regularly with Heads of Schools and their staff, and maintains direct communication with parents and students, in the fulfilment of its responsibilities to oversee the governance of each school within the organisation.  

A brief summary of each member is outlined below:

Stewart Fry - Chairman of the Board: BSc, MSc, London School of Economics. The son of two dedicated educators, Stewart has spent most of his professional career in the educational sector. He founded the first school within the British Schools Foundation. Since then, he has been instrumental in shaping the vision and guiding principles of the Foundation and overseeing its global expansion. Before that he was Vice-Chairman of King’s Group. Stewart has two boys attending a school chartered by the Foundation.

Ola Natvig - Managing Director: BSc, MSc, London School of Economics. Ola was a manager at Roland Berger & Partners and a founding partner of Ingenio Management Consultants, where he advised major multinational clients in the consumer goods and retail sectors. Following 10 years as a Board member for the British Schools Foundation and leading the initiative to establish The British School Yangon in 2013, he was appointed Managing Director for the Foundation in 2014. Ola has two boys attending a school chartered by the Foundation. 

Elisa Lopez Moriarty - Executive Director: B.A. Industrial Relations, Complutense University, Spain; General and Legal Translator, Escuela Internacional de Traductores, Spain. Elisa comes from a background in journalism and sales, in particular operating in developing countries. Elisa led the initiative to establish The British College of Brazil in 2011. She has been a Board member since 2013 and is currently leading the development of the Foundation in South America. Elisa has a girl attending a school chartered by the Foundation.

Antonio Sanz - Non-Executive Director: B.A. English Literature, Hamilton College, USA.; CEP Institut d’Etudes Politiques, Sciences Po, France; PG Negotiating, Instituto de Empresa, Spain, PG Value Chain, Harvard Business School, USA. Antonio began his career with Procter & Gamble in Spain, Switzerland, Puerto Rico and Italy. He later joined Sanitas (BUPA) as its Marketing Director. He was appointed Brand and Marketing Director in Vodafone Spain prior to becoming Global Brand Manager for Vodafone Europe. Currently, he is a Senior Partner at Simplicity. Having held senior positions at major multinational companies, Antonio brings a wealth of business experience. A member of the Board since 2008, he has been fundamental in shaping the image, marketing and branding of the schools.
