The British International School of Kuala Lumpur (BSKL) opened in 2008 and is now one of the leading international schools in Kuala Lumpur providing exceptional education to children aged 2-18.

Following an inspection by the Independent Schools Inspectorate, BSKL has been graded excellent in all areas of educational provision, a result that is comparable to that of many top UK independent schools and is unprecedented in Malaysia.

Specialist Primary, Secondary and Sixth Form campuses provide a state-of-the-art learning environment. Facilities include a 9-a-side covered sports field, three indoor sport halls, two swimming pools and two full size football fields.

The music and performing arts programmes are supported by a fully equipped 650-seat theatre and over 20 specialist music and dance rooms. There are separate infant, junior and senior libraries with a combined catalogue of 20,000 books.

BSKL children achieve well above-average exam results when compared to their UK counterparts. This year, 71% of students achieved A*/A and 92% A*/B grades in all of their GCSE examinations. These academic achievements are also seen in the SATS (Standardised Assessment Tests) with BSKL students far outperforming the UK national average across all areas of the KS2 National Tests.

BSKL is a full member of the Council of British International Schools (COBIS), FOBISIA and an accredited examination center for the University of Cambridge exams.
